How this test measures your connection

The tool uses Cloudflare’s open-source measurement engine (version 1.15.0) with progressively larger real download and upload transfers. It reports estimated throughput and HTTP response timing to Cloudflare; it does not measure UDP packet loss, identify your ISP automatically, or guarantee the full speed of a gigabit line. The chart shows speed estimates collected during this run; each chart scales independently.

A test requests up to 103.1 MB of download data and 58 MB of upload data, plus small latency requests and protocol overhead. Stages may stop early. Optional engine result logging is disabled. No result history is stored by this tool. Measurement engine

Use this independent Digi speed test to check your download speed, upload speed, latency and jitter on a Digi or CelcomDigi connection in Malaysia. Connect to the service you want to measure, pause other transfers and press START. Each test can use up to approximately 165 MB plus overhead; check your mobile allowance before starting.

UnifiSpeedTest.com is not operated or endorsed by Digi, CelcomDigi or another internet provider. The test measures the connection between your device and Cloudflare’s edge network; it does not access your customer account.

How to test Digi mobile internet

  1. Turn off WiFi so your phone uses the Digi/CelcomDigi SIM you intend to test. On a dual-SIM phone, check which SIM supplies mobile data.
  2. Check whether the device is connected through 4G or 5G. Use a compatible phone and leave its network mode unchanged during a comparison.
  3. Pause app updates, cloud backups and hotspot activity. Temporarily disconnect a VPN if you want to measure the ordinary mobile connection.
  4. Run the test, then repeat in the same position. Compare an indoor result with a suitable location closer to a window; signal bars alone do not measure available bandwidth.

If you want to test a mobile hotspot, connect the laptop to that hotspot and note that the result includes both the mobile network and the WiFi link to your phone. Keep an eye on mobile and hotspot allowances: test transfers count as data usage.

Testing CelcomDigi Fibre instead of a SIM

For a home fibre connection, use an Ethernet-connected laptop or desktop where possible. The router port, network adapter and cable must support the speed being tested. A WiFi result from a distant room can be much lower even when the fibre connection is working normally.

CelcomDigi recommends a wired test when checking the subscribed connection. See its official explanation of measured speed versus plan speed. Compare the same device beside the router and through Ethernet before replacing equipment or upgrading a package.

Why can Digi internet be slow?

Pattern you noticeWhat to check next
Mobile data is slow indoors but improves elsewhereCompare signal conditions and the same 4G/5G mode. Indoor coverage and building materials can affect the radio link.
Speed drops after substantial data useCheck your exact plan’s remaining quota, speed cap and Fair Usage Policy in your provider account.
The phone is fast but the hotspot laptop is slowCheck hotspot limits, the phone-to-laptop WiFi connection and background downloads.
Fibre is fast over Ethernet but slow over WiFiInvestigate router placement, WiFi band, distance and device capability.
Results change markedly by time of dayRecord several comparable tests. Rule out your own background traffic before assuming wider network congestion.

“Unlimited” is not a universal promise of uncapped speed. CelcomDigi applies different conditions to different plans; its Prepaid 5G Biru FUP guidance is one plan-specific example, not a rule for every Digi customer. Verify the current conditions of your own subscription.

Understanding your Digi speed test results

Download and upload are measured in Mbps; higher figures mean more data can move per second. Idle latency estimates HTTP response timing to the test destination, while jitter describes its variation. The downloadable CSV also includes loaded-latency estimates when available, although these are not shown in the three main result cards. This browser test does not measure UDP packet loss or your exact latency to a game server.

Use repeated comparisons instead of treating one low number as proof of a provider fault. Very fast lines may need longer transfers than this bounded test provides. For a worked explanation, read how to read speed-test results; the measurement principles also apply to Digi and CelcomDigi.

Frequently asked questions

Does this work for Digi and CelcomDigi?

Yes. The test measures the active internet connection on your device. It does not identify your provider automatically, so make sure the device is using the correct SIM, hotspot or home network.

Why does a 5G result differ from a 4G result?

The network technology, available spectrum, signal conditions, device and current demand can differ. Compare at the same location and note which connection was active; a 5G icon alone does not guarantee a particular speed.

Can this test tell me my remaining Digi data balance?

No. It measures connection performance and cannot read your account or quota. Use official CelcomDigi account services for balance and plan information.

Is this an official Digi speed test?

No. This is an independent testing page. Account faults, coverage enquiries and persistent service problems should go to CelcomDigi support links.

For a fibre connection that repeatedly stops around 100 Mbps, check the Ethernet link-speed troubleshooting method. Its local cable and port comparisons also apply to CelcomDigi Fibre.
